My current practise comes from a personal perspective of trying to understand what it means to be a tapestry weaver in the 21st century.

Where have we come from, what can I make ? How does it fit in? Does it fit in?

Is it a curiosity?

Mostly , the answer is, yes.

My new work deals with an ongoing interest of looking and memory.

Looking at things, other people, my children, and also looking at what's on the inside.

Not in a gruesome way, but the interior...what am I thinking? how does that feel, and then, what would it look like?

I use a vocabulary of symbols and imagery to help express these ideas.

My artist's statement is full of questions, I guess part of the answers are in the work.
