Work Experience
2000-2006
Australian Tapestry Workshop, (formerly, Victorian Tapestry Workshop, VTW)
I began work as a trainee, working on the Federation Tapestries. On the completion of that project I resumed my studies at Monash University. I was then re- employed as a part-time weaver until 2006. I wove on many projects as part of a small team, and lead two projects myself. A selection of Australian artists I worked with include:
David Larwill, Tim Jones, Arlene Textaqueen, Chris Pyett, Sophy Reynolds, Ken Whisson, John Young, Gulam Mohammed, Jon Campbell, Julian Twigg, Meg Benwell.
Some of these tapestries can be viewed via their website ATW
2001-2002
Monash University
Technical Assistant to Kate Derum, Teaching students the basics of tapestry weaving and managing their projects. Assessing works for final marking.
